US-based clinical collaboration platform TigerConnect has acquired eVideon, a provider of hospital smart room technology, for an undisclosed price.

The acquisition aims to integrate TigerConnect’s communication tools with eVideon’s smart room solutions.

According to TigerConnect, this integration will create a unified infrastructure that enhances nurse efficiency, patient experience, and cost management.

The collaboration seeks to transform hospital environments into connected, intelligent spaces supporting various care models.

eVideon CEO Jeff Fallon said: “Joining forces with TigerConnect represents the natural evolution of our mission to transform patient care through smart room technology.

“By combining our patient engagement and smart hospital room expertise with TigerConnect’s clinical communication leadership, we’re creating an integrated ecosystem that makes every interaction between patients and care teams more meaningful and efficient.

“This is how we deliver on the promise of truly intelligent healthcare environments.”

TigerConnect said the combined technologies offer a modern cloud-based system that alleviates operational pressures on nursing staff.

The smart room solutions encompass virtual care, clinical communication, and real-time patient updates, enhancing existing systems or providing new solutions.

They are designed to benefit nurses, IT teams, executives, and patients by streamlining operations and improving healthcare experiences.

The acquisition, which follows the launch of TigerConnect’s CareConduit platform, strengthens the company’s position as a key communications partner for hospitals.

It allows clinicians to focus on patient care, hospitals gain operational efficiencies, and patients receive personalised, responsive services, said TigerConnect.

TigerConnect CEO Sean O’Neal said: “We are committed to providing streamlined solutions that help hospitals achieve peak efficiency, while also providing unparalleled safety, quality service, and innovation to patients, families, clinicians, and hospital staff.

“This acquisition is about fundamentally rethinking the care experience. Health systems are under pressure to improve nurse efficiency, deliver better patient outcomes, and modernise ageing infrastructure.

“We are providing the path to accomplish all three, while building the platform for the smart room of the future and putting hospitals at the forefront of delivering efficient, patient-centred care.”
