US-based not-for-profit acute care facility Southwest General Health Centre has partnered with healthcare company Notable to enhance patient access using artificial intelligence (AI).
The collaboration aims to streamline administrative processes and close care gaps, ensuring patients receive timely and efficient healthcare services.
Under the partnership, Southwest General, based in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, will leverage Notable’s AI platform to automate tasks such as registration, intake, and care gap outreach.
By adopting Notable’s technology, Southwest General will use AI agents to send appointment reminders, verify and collect additional information for seamless check-ins.
Also, the hospital will proactively reach out to patients in their preferred language and communication method.
The approach is designed to schedule outstanding care opportunities at the patient’s convenience.
Notable CEO Pranay Kapadia said: “At the end of the day, providing a high level of care and ease of access to healthcare are top goals of any healthcare system.
“With the unique ability of our AI Platform to automate these processes, reducing friction along the patient journey, we can help Southwest General exceed those expectations while eliminating burdensome manual work for staff.
“When a hospital can meet its patients where they are, the results are truly transformative.”
The initiative aims to assist patients in navigating their healthcare needs, providing a smooth and intuitive experience.
The technological advancement will allow Southwest General staff to focus more on delivering unparalleled patient care.
Also, the move aligns with the centre’s vision of being the community’s first choice for advanced medicine and exceptional healthcare.
Southwest General chief information officer Jae Zayed said: “At Southwest General, we’re committed to redefining the patient experience through innovation and compassion.
“As a community-based hospital, our partnership with Notable allows us to make care more accessible and personalised, starting well before a patient steps through our doors.
“By streamlining appointment preparation and simplifying engagement, we’re excited to bring a more seamless, connected experience to the communities we serve.”
Last month, Notable joined forces with Imperial Valley Healthcare District to enhance patient care through streamlined registration and intake processes.
The partnership aims to improve the patient experience for the health system’s 75,000 annual appointments using advanced AI technology to automate administrative tasks.
