Datalogic has secured the certification of its Memor 17 Healthcare mobile computer with B. Braun’s OncoSafety Remote Control, a leading oncology workflow solution.
The integration aims to enhance oncology treatment by improving traceability, medication accuracy, and compliance, offering a safer and more efficient experience for healthcare professionals and patients.
The Memor 17 Healthcare is designed for front-line healthcare, featuring 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, and a rugged, disinfectant-ready design.
Its Halogen 2121DL scan engine ensures fast and accurate barcode capture, even on damaged labels, while Datalogic’s Green Spot technology provides silent scan confirmation, suitable for quiet zones like neonatal wards.
Datalogic data capture product and solutions executive VP Rosario Casillo said: “The Memor 17 Healthcare sets a new benchmark for patient care and safety in oncology.
“Its certification with B. Braun’s OncoSafety Remote Control enables seamless verification of patient-treatment matching with their advanced solution, ensuring healthcare professionals can rely on a connected, secure, and highly functional device to deliver critical care wherever it’s needed.”
The certification extends the capabilities of the Memor 17 Healthcare across oncology workflows, from bedside medication administration to remote patient visits.
It ensures high standards of patient safety, data access, and workflow efficiency, crucial for modern healthcare settings.
The Memor 17 Healthcare supports programmable emergency alerts and custom gestures, enabling clinical staff to trigger safety protocols instantly.
With long-term Android support and AI-powered tools from the Datalogic Mobility Suite, the device is well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of healthcare environments.
B. Braun senior digital solution manager Thore Heinemann said: “Our mission at B. Braun is to protect and improve the health of people around the world.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Datalogic to equip caregivers with the technology needed to make well-informed decisions and reduce medication errors.”
Last year, Canada-based Octane Medical Group acquired the global ortho-biologics business of the German medical technology company, B. Braun.
