Bowen Health has started construction on its fifth integrated healthcare facility in Huntington, marking a significant investment of $11m in Huntington County.
The new facility, spanning 29,000ft2, is strategically located off US 24 at N 200 W.
It is expected to enhance healthcare services in the area when it opens towards the end of 2026.
The Huntington facility will expand Bowen Health’s offerings in dental care, alongside primary healthcare, mental health support, and addiction recovery.
The development follows the ongoing construction of another integrative healthcare building in Wabash.
Bowen Health president and CEO Rob Ryan said: “We knew we could return years to people’s lives if we had a healing space designed around integrative care.
“The purpose of this new building is to be conveniently located, be the place patients and staff can be proud of, and design it around maximizing integrative health.”
Bowen Health facilities VP Eddie Gomez said: “With every building we develop, we consider the needs of the communities and how these buildings can serve a single, essential purpose: to heal people and provide the services they need for a long, successful life.”
Bowen Health has previously opened new facilities in Whitley County in early 2024 and Marshall County in early 2025.
Earlier this year, the healthcare provider broke ground on a Transitional Living campus in Warsaw, to serve Kosciusko County, which is set to open this September.
It aims to provide short-term treatment for patients requiring intensive care, offering safe living arrangements and access to behavioural and physical health services.
The Transitional Living campus will feature various group homes and individual living units, promoting community integration and employment opportunities.
Its primarily equips patients with the necessary skills to achieve independent living.
The expansions support Bowen Health’s goal of improving healthcare access across the region.
Bowen Health executive director Lori Augustus said: “This new building allows us to serve more people and to expand our services.
“We’re working alongside more partners and continuing to find innovative ways to work with them to grow this community, to make it healthier and stronger.
“We know that having quality health care accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay, is what’s best for Huntington County.”
