Patterson Health Center (PHC), a multidisciplinary hospital and emergency centre in Anthony, Kansas, has integrated Oracle Health technology to optimise its clinical and financial operations.
The move aims to improve patient care in rural Kansas communities and expand access to healthcare in underserved areas.
It reduces administrative burdens and offers clinicians more time to engage with patients.
PHC has adopted Oracle Health’s CommunityWorks solution to maximise operational efficiency and strengthen its financial standing.
CommunityWorks automates clinical and financial processes, improving care coordination and enhancing healthcare services for local patients.
The technology ensures PHC remains a trusted provider in the region.
Patterson Health Center CEO Sarah Teaff said: “We are bringing advanced medical services to our community, and that requires innovative technologies that can help us scale and expand our services while still providing high-quality, family-centred care.
“With Oracle Health technology, we can collaborate across care venues to provide excellent health and wellness services and foster a healthier future for our community while using AI to automate tedious clinical documentation processes to enhance our clinicians’ experiences.”
Oracle Health CommunityWorks features a patient portal that simplifies communication with facility staff regarding appointments and surgeries.
The portal helps reduce wait times and facilitates collaboration with external providers on treatment plans, promoting continuity of care.
The system integrates digital patient records, streamlining clinical workflows and connecting them to billing processes for greater financial transparency and increased reimbursements.
PHC is also adopting an AI-powered assistant, dubbed Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent.
Clinical AI Agent is embedded in the electronic health record (EHR) system for the automated generation of draft notes from patient-physician interactions.
The solution merges pre-charted data, reduces redundancy, and organises content for easy review, thus streamlining documentation and enhancing care efficiencies.
The automation significantly reduces the manual workload, addressing provider burnout.
Oracle Health and Life Sciences executive vice president and general manager Seema Verma said: “Oracle Health is delivering AI-powered solutions that help to improve care and provide a better experience for both patients and caregivers.
“We are helping health systems like PHC provide quality care for patients while reducing administrative overload to help clinicians focus on patient care.”
Earlier this year, Oracle Health launched Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent in Canada to address physician burnout and enhance patient care.
