Ayala Healthcare Holdings (AC Health) has secured a strategic investment from ABC Impact, a Singapore-based impact investor, to transform healthcare in the Philippines.
The investment marks ABC Impact’s entry into the Philippine healthcare sector.
The partnership aims to transform healthcare for Filipinos by creating an integrated healthcare ecosystem.
Under the agreement, ABC Impact will acquire a 16% minority stake in AC Health, providing primary capital for expansion.
The fresh capital injection will strengthen AC Health’s growth across its key areas, including hospitals, multi-speciality clinics, and retail pharmacies.
The company plans to expand its network to at least 10 hospitals, 300 clinics, and 1,150 pharmacies by 2027, through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
AC Health president and CEO Paolo Borromeo said: “ABC Impact’s investment reinforces the strength of our integrated model and our commitment to making healthcare more inclusive.
“This partnership creates valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and the adoption of global best practices, further enabling AC Health to raise the bar in care quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency as it moves toward world-class standards.”
ABC Impact, known for its investments in India, China, and Vietnam, brings valuable regional insights and networks to AC Health.
It has invested in Vietnam’s Kim Dental and India’s DCDC Kidney Care, which could offer opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
The collaboration is expected to enhance clinical excellence and healthcare innovation, aligning with AC Health’s integrated care model in the Philippines.
The partnership combines AC Health’s delivery network with ABC Impact’s expertise in inclusive healthcare solutions.
It also strengthens the relationship between the Ayala Group and the Temasek ecosystem.
BofA Securities served as the exclusive financial advisor to AC Health on this transaction.
ABC Impact CEO David Heng said: “We believe AC Health is well-positioned to deliver meaningful social outcomes alongside sustainable growth.
“Through our regional healthcare experience and impact lens, we aim to support AC Health’s efforts to strengthen systems and serve more communities across the Philippines.”
AC Health chairman and Ayala Corporation board director Fernando Zobel de Ayala said: “We are honoured to expand our relationship with Temasek and Temasek Trust, and welcome ABC Impact as a partner in our healthcare journey.
“Together, we look forward to building a more resilient and inclusive health ecosystem for Filipinos.”
