US-based healthcare technology company Suki has announced its plans to partner with Zoom Video Communications, a communications technology and telehealth services provider, for AI-generated clinical notes.
Under the partnership, Zoom would use Suki’s AI engine, Suki Platform, to create clinical notes.
Also, the telehealth services company aims to add AI capabilities to its solution to enhance the user experience and improve patient care.
The healthcare technology company plans to power ambient clinical documentation that supports Zoom telehealth visits and in-person visits.
Suki founder and CEO Punit Soni said: “AI is changing the way we interact with the world. Everything from how we communicate to how we use technology to how care is delivered will evolve. Video will be a critical interface in the AI-driven world.
“We are thrilled to work with Zoom to develop new interaction models and AI that will advance our mission of making healthcare technology invisible and assistive so clinicians can focus on what’s most important: their patients.”
Suki Assistant is an AI-powered solution that uses generative AI to automatically create clinical documentation by ambiently listening to patient-clinician conversations.
The Suki Platform enables life science companies to build advanced AI experiences with minimal effort and already reaches nearly one million clinicians across the US.
Zoom chief product officer Smita Hashim said: “With over almost 140,000 healthcare institutions globally using the Zoom platform, we feel a great responsibility to leverage the power of AI to drive employee productivity and enhance patient experiences.
“Working together with Suki to provide critical AI-generated clinical note functionality to Zoom Workplace for Clinicians will reduce documentation overhead for clinicians, allowing them to focus on patients.”
