US-based software and data analytics company Rune Labs has introduced StrivePD Guardian, an AI-driven care management service for Parkinson’s disease.

StrivePD Guardian combines expert coaching with AI-powered health monitoring, offering real-time insights to help individuals manage Parkinson’s disease more effectively.

Developed on Rune Labs’ validated value-based care framework, the tool offers personalised coaching and symptom analysis for patients and caregivers.

The service aims to bridge the gap in care due to a shortage of movement disorder specialists in the US, providing continuous support and optimised care plans.

It has shown significant reductions in emergency room visits and specialist time while improving exercise and medication adherence among patients, said Rune Labs.

Rune Labs CEO Brian Pepin said: “Every person with Parkinson’s experiences the disease differently – they have their own unique symptoms and progression. Yet traditional care models often fail to provide the individualised attention needed between clinical visits.

“Now available to all patients, StrivePD Guardian borrows from the successful real-world use by health systems to deliver a holistic solution directly to PwPD and caregivers.

“It combines a dedicated human coach with AI-driven insights and provides families with up-to-date data and certainty that their loved ones are more frequently receiving support, beyond their bi-annual or annual doctor visits.”

The subscription service integrates human support with advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) and unique patient data from StrivePD, including FDA-approved monitoring through Apple Watch.

The approach allows patients and clinicians to maximise the benefits of annual clinical visits, adjusting treatment strategies based on the latest patient data.

StrivePD Guardian offers one-to-one personalised coaching, where users are paired with dedicated coaches to guide them through their Parkinson’s journey.

Coaches can use the StrivePD app and Apple Watch to track disease-specific metrics such as tremor and dyskinesia, alongside daily routines.

The service also provides actionable insights from individual data, enabling informed clinical decisions and tailored care plans, including exercise programmes and therapy information.

In addition, StrivePD Guardian supports families and caregivers by keeping them informed and reassured of continuous care availability.
