South Korea-based Lunit has partnered with Starvision Service, Germany’s largest private radiology network, to implement AI imaging solutions across its 79 locations.

The collaboration aims to optimise radiological practices through advanced AI technology, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

Under a five-year framework agreement, Lunit will roll out its AI suite, including chest X-ray, mammography, tomosynthesis, and fracture detection, across Starvision’s network.

Lunit CEO Brandon Suh said: “Partnering with Starvision accelerates our vision of bringing AI-powered precision diagnostics into everyday clinical practice.

“Together, we are advancing a new era of radiology where technology enhances the expertise of physicians, delivering better outcomes for millions of patients in Germany and beyond.”

Starvision, a leader in the DACH healthcare market, operates in radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy, focusing on digital transformation.

The initial deployment includes Lunit INSIGHT MMG at Radiologische Allianz in Hamburg, supporting the local breast cancer screening programme.

In addition, Die Radiologie in Bavaria is using Lunit’s solutions, facilitating approximately 120,000 breast cancer screenings annually across both institutions.

The agreement allows further expansion, enabling new Starvision locations and affiliated practices to join the initiative.

Individual agreements are being signed as part of a phased implementation, with clinical trials and new deployments already underway.

Interest from other healthcare providers in Germany highlights the growing demand for AI-driven imaging solutions.

The partnership aligns with both companies’ goals of revolutionising healthcare through intelligent technology and establishing new benchmarks in radiology.

Starvision Service CEO Uwe Pfeifer said: “Lunit’s AI solutions support our radiologists in delivering fast and accurate diagnoses. This strengthens diagnostic confidence and gives us more time to focus on what truly matters: the individual care of our patients.”

Earlier this year, Lunit secured a five-year contract with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the UAE’s largest healthcare network.

Under the contract, Lunit will deploy its AI-powered mammography analysis solution Lunit INSIGHT MMG across SEHA’s 14 hospitals and 70 primary healthcare clinics.
