Juvare has unveiled BedSync, a software solution designed to streamline healthcare facility bed capacity reporting in support of the CDC’s NHSN Connectivity Initiative.
The solution aims to automate the reporting process, enhancing accuracy and reducing the workload of clinical and administrative teams.
It integrates with Juvare’s EMResource platform for real-time data submission.
BedSync is expected to transform the US healthcare ecosystem by automating the reporting of bed capacity across more than 3,000 hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Juvare chief revenue officer Sam Klietz said: “This launch represents a major step forward in supporting state and federal agencies with the timely, accurate data they need to make life-saving decisions.
“With BedSync, facilities can easily participate in the NHSN Bed Connectivity Initiative without impacting the valuable time needed for patient care.”
Currently, Juvare’s EMResource platform is operational in 24 states and US territories, for acute care, long-term care, behavioural health, and rehabilitation centres.
Key benefits of BedSync include automated reporting every 15 minutes, elimination of manual data entry, and potential annual savings of over $50,000 per facility.
The system also provides a single API submission for various reporting needs, enhancing data visibility and analytics capabilities.
Juvare has collaborated with a CDC prime contractor to facilitate the national rollout of the NHSN Hospital Bed Capacity Project.
The initiative provides real-time insights into national healthcare capacity, ensuring swift and efficient responses from federal agencies and individual facilities during emergencies.
Furthermore, Juvare is supporting healthcare facilities interested in participating in the NHSN Hospital Bed Capacity Project with funding for implementation and operational expenses.
