Innovaccer has launched ‘Agents of Care’, a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) Agents to transform healthcare operations and enhance care delivery.
The healthcare AI company has designed these pre-trained AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and reduce staff workload.
The launch, announced at Xccelerate 2025, supports Innovaccer’s goal of improving health outcomes.
This follows Innovaccer’s successful raising of $275m in a Series F funding round in January with investors like B Capital Group, Banner Health, and Kaiser Permanente.
Innovaccer already offers a suite of copilots and a data infrastructure that connects more than 80 electronic health records (EHRs). The new AI Agents are expected to reduce healthcare admin strain in healthcare.
These agents assist care teams like clinicians, care managers, risk coders, patient navigators, and call centre agents.
Innovaccer’s ‘Agents of Care’ are designed to handle complex tasks, operate 24/7, sound human, and integrate into healthcare workflows.
The Scheduling Agent automates booking, rescheduling, and managing patient appointments.
Its Protocol Intake Agent collects patient information and coordinates follow-ups with care managers. The Referral Agent manages end-to-end referral workflows, connecting patients with the right specialists.
The Authorisation Agent speeds up prior authorisation by submitting precise, complete requests whereas the Care Gap Closure Agent identifies care gaps and facilitates patient outreach to improve quality metrics.
Additionally, its HCC Coding Agent speeds up coding reviews, helping care and coding teams validate clinical documentation accuracy.
Lastly, the Patient Access Agent provides 24/7 multilingual support for routine patient inquiries.
Innovaccer co-founder and CEO Abhinav Shashank said: “Healthcare needs more than fragmented, point solutions. It needs a unified, intelligent orchestration of AI capabilities.
“With Agents of Care, we’re redefining what AI can do for healthcare, delivering human-like efficiency while allowing care teams to focus on what truly matters: their patients.”
Powered by Innovaccer’s Data Activation Platform, the ‘Agents of Care’ have access to a 360° view of patient information, drawn from unified clinical and claims data.
Engineered to meet security and compliance standards, the Agents are secure and reliable for healthcare organisations of any size, the healthcare AI company said.
Innovaccer currently powers several health systems in the US and is rapidly expanding into payers, pharmacies, life science companies, and government organisations.
The Agents of Care suite is rolling out to existing Innovaccer customers, with general availability expected across 2025.
