Ingenio Care has closed its pre-seed funding round to launch AI-enabled pilot programmes with Independent Physician Associations (IPAs), self-insured employers, and health plans.
The company’s pilot programmes aim to tackle the systemic issues of access, fragmentation, and administrative inefficiency in US healthcare.
Ingenio Care offers a scalable digital health network that enhances existing infrastructure through real-time data, automation, and coordination, enabling patient-centric care.
Central to its digital health network is an innovative patient app, which provides users a single digital experience to manage their care and costs.
Key features of the app include instant access to in-network providers across primary, specialty, and behavioural care.
It will also focus on seamless care navigation, cost transparency, continuity of care across insurance or employer changes, and upcoming credit card integration for identity verification.
Ingenio Care Founder and CEO Alex Kumar said: “We are no longer just talking about inefficiency — we’re talking about dysfunction.
“Ingenio Care was built to be the connective layer the system desperately needs — linking patients, providers, and payers into a smarter, faster, and more responsive network.
“Patients shouldn’t have to start over every time they change plans or employers. We’ve built the first system that follows the patient — not the paperwork.
“There’s untapped capacity in the system today. Our platform unlocks it by reducing friction, connecting the dots, and giving providers better tools to manage their day-to-day work.”
The Ingenio Care platform aims to reduce emergency room visits and hospital admissions, enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction while reducing costs for providers and systems.
By intelligently matching patients with underutilised providers, Ingenio Care expects to cut wait times by 30% to 50%, improving both patient experience and outcomes.
As the Ingenio Care network grows, all stakeholders, including providers, benefit.
Physicians and care organisations can access a steady flow of in-network patients navigating the platform, reducing the need for costly marketing and patient acquisition.
The network also reduces administrative overhead through automation.
Ingenio Care is currently enrolling pilot sites across provider networks, employers, and health plans.
Initial pilots will assess improvements in appointment access, care navigation, administrative burden, and cost-effectiveness.
