Hartford HealthCare and clinical artificial intelligence (AI) company K Health have partnered to transform the primary healthcare delivery in Connecticut, US.
The partnership will help communities access primary care through advanced clinical AI.
Hartford HealthCare is said to be one of Connecticut’s largest health systems, with 500 locations across 185 towns and cities.
Both companies will launch HHC 24/7 in April. This new virtual health platform offers 24/7 access to primary care.
Powered by K Health, HHC 24/7 provides personalised care anytime, anywhere. It brings patient-centred care, making it easier to connect with healthcare professionals on schedule.
Hartford HealthCare president and CEO Jeffrey Flaks said: “This is about world-class care and ensuring everyone has access to the best care available. Our partnership with K Health helps make this happen.
“Our focus has always been on putting patients first, we are patient-driven and deeply committed to meeting their needs.
“We need to meet people where they are and with the level of concierge support they want, all while fully integrating highest quality of care. The provider has every resource of Hartford Healthcare at their disposal.”
HHC 24/7 will be fully integrated with Hartford HealthCare, ensuring seamless coordination with ongoing care.
This service offers on-demand, same-day appointments with clinicians, addressing acute, chronic, and preventative medical needs.
Patients will experience expanded access to comprehensive, continuous care across the Hartford HealthCare ecosystem.
K Health co-founder and CEO Allon Bloch said: “The time has come for clinical grade AI to be used in the core of primary care medicine.
“Hartford HealthCare’s ability to prove this out in Connecticut will be consequential across the US and globally.”
New York-based K Health offers clinical-grade AI for primary care. Through AI Provider Mode, clinicians on HHC 24/7 use K’s AI co-pilot to enhance primary care visits.
The AI-driven MedicalChat guides patients through personalised investigations, informed by their electronic medical record (EMR). Clinicians receive a summary at the point of care, enabling accurate, individualised diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Last month, Hartford HealthCare and Israel-based Aidoc collaborated to integrate tailored clinical AI solutions to boost patient care.
