Evidently, a clinical data intelligence platform, has extended its partnership with Allina Health, a nonprofit health care system based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The collaboration allows Evidently’s AI system to process millions of patient encounters annually to reduce clinicians’ cognitive workloads and improve quality and revenue integrity.

Clinicians at Allina Health will leverage Evidently’s AI summarisation and documentation tools to quickly access relevant information buried within patient records.

The tools minimise the need for extensive chart reviews, enabling clinicians to make informed decisions and ensure precise documentation.

Also, they help maintain institutional quality goals and accurate reimbursement.

The expanded partnership enables access to Evidently across all care settings at Allina Health and enhances clinicians’ expertise with comprehensive chart summarisation.

It also provides advanced features, including Ask Evidently, an EHR-embedded AI chat interface, and tools for notes and appeals drafting.

Allina Health chief digital and information officer David Ingham said: “Allina Health wants to be on the leading edge of providing the right tools to support our providers without disrupting how they work day-to-day.

“The support tools allow our providers to spend less time in the EHR and more time with the patient. They also have the right information at their fingertips to make informed decisions faster.”

Evidently’s platform, built on 15 years of research in deep learning, knowledge graphs, and LLMs, integrates with EHR systems to index both structured and unstructured data.

It offers clinically informed summaries for various workflows, such as pre-charting, health maintenance, pre-op assessment, and more.

The summaries are seamlessly integrated into chart review and documentation processes, reducing cognitive burdens and ensuring accurate service reimbursement.

By organising and summarising patient records, Evidently empowers clinicians with insights necessary to enhance care quality.

The platform supports teams focused on care quality, revenue, value-based care, perioperative, and emergency medicine, providing real-time insights that improve outcomes.

Healthcare organisations across the US use Evidently’s AI platform to significantly reduce EHR time and uncover substantial unrealised reimbursement.

Evidently founder and CEO Feng Niu said: “We’re united in our commitment to resolve the inherent challenges posed by fragmented clinical data, burdensome documentation, and the ever-present issue of limited clinician time.

“This partnership is not only crucial for improving patient care and provider wellness, but also for building a financially sustainable future through better documentation.”

In May this year, Allina Health partnered with SoundHound AI to launch Alli, an AI agent designed to enhance patient engagement.

Alli AI agent is powered by SoundHound’s Amelia conversational AI platform.

It streamlines patient access by integrating with Allina Health’s electronic medical record system and facilitates instant caller identification and authentication.
