Eye Health America (EHA), a network of ophthalmology practices in the US, has acquired Quigley Eye Specialists (QES), an ophthalmology practice, to expand in southwest Florida.
Established in 1988, QES expanded in the Fort Myers-Naples region through partnership with Community Eye Center and St. Lucy’s Eye Surgery Centre in 2021.
With a dedicated team of skilled doctors, the practice delivers patient-focused eye care and is committed to providing advanced and personalised treatments.
It offers routine eye care and services such as refractive cataract surgery, glaucoma, SMILE/LASIK, eyelid surgery, retinal care, corneal conditions, and dry eye treatments.
QES ophthalmologist Emmanual Kai-Lewis said: “What an exciting new chapter for our practice. We are confident that Eye Health America’s resources and support will help us continue to provide the best possible care to our patients.”
QES ophthalmologist Nika Priest-Allen said: “We look forward to joining forces with Eye Health America and expanding our ability to deliver specialized, compassionate care to the communities we serve.”
QES has served the Southwest Florida community for more than 30 years, with ten convenient clinic locations and two ambulatory surgery centres.
Its ten ophthalmology clinics are located in Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Naples, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda.
The two ambulatory surgery centres are in Fort Myers and Port Charlotte.
As part of the acquisition, the entire QES team will be transitioned to the Eye Centres of Florida, which will expand services to the covered patients.
EHA said the acquisition is part of its ongoing strategy to expand its network of eye care practices across the Southeastern US.
It complements Eye Centres of Florida, which the company acquired in 2021, and strengthens its presence in Southwest Florida.
Eye Health America co-CEO John Swencki said: “We are thrilled to unite two legacy practices, Eye Centers of Florida and Quigley Eye Specialists, under the Eye Health America umbrella.
“This partnership will allow us to continue building upon the strong foundation of care that Dr. Quigley and his team have established.”
Eye Health America co-CEO Mary Lou Parisi said: “We look forward to expanding access to the exceptional care patients in Southwest Florida have come to expect, while driving innovations to further elevate the patient experience.”
