Cosentus Holdings, a US-based software solutions provider for healthcare practices, has acquired Alta Management Solutions, which offers medical practice consulting and revenue cycle management (RCM) services.

The acquisition, finalised on 27 May 2025, marks a strategic expansion for Cosentus, enhancing its national presence and service offerings in healthcare administration.

Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Alta Management Solutions offers a comprehensive suite of services including credentialing, RCM, consulting, and operational support.

With this acquisition, Cosentus aims to strengthen its consulting capabilities and deliver enhanced services to healthcare practices across the US.

Alta Management Solutions CEO Brandon Jones said: “Alta’s industry reputation and hands-on approach to client service align perfectly with Cosentus’ commitment to delivering customised, scalable solutions to the healthcare industry.

“This acquisition allows us to better serve our clients with a comprehensive suite of services and positions us for continued growth. We are proud of the company we’ve built and excited to join forces with Cosentus.

“Together, we’ll have the resources, technology, and expertise to provide even greater value to the healthcare providers we serve.”

As part of the acquisition, Alta’s leadership and team members will join Cosentus’ existing business framework, and its clients will benefit from continued service.

In addition, the acquisition expands support and resources through Cosentus’ platform, ensuring a seamless transition and enhanced client experience.

By combining the strengths of both organisations, Cosentus plans to offer scalable solutions to tackle the complexities of healthcare administration.

The merger of Alta’s consulting expertise with Cosentus’ infrastructure will create a comprehensive service model for medical practices, from independent providers to large multi-speciality groups.

Furthermore, Cosentus said the acquisition aligns with its strategy of investing in high-performing healthcare service organisations.

Cosentus Chairman and CEO GS Bhalla said: “We are very excited to welcome Alta Management Solutions into the Cosentus family. For over two and a half decades since we founded Cosentus, we have lived by the principle of ‘customers first’.

“The Alta team has demonstrated the same values as we were evaluating this transaction.

“We are very excited to not only extend our footprint in Utah and Idaho through this acquisition but also expand our services to add new areas like Practice Consulting, a brand-new service offering.”
